friendGroup (FRNDGRP) is a private, invite-only web application built exclusively for a close friend group of 12 people known as "Group B." It serves as a shared hub for tracking birthdays, organizing movie nights, sharing memes, running polls, and maintaining a "Funniest Person" leaderboard based on group chat activity.
This is a personal hobby project — not a commercial business, not a startup, and not available to the general public.
friendGroup has a fixed, closed membership of 12 people. There are no plans to expand or change this membership. Account creation is restricted to pre-approved, whitelisted members only — the public cannot self-register.
Every member is a known, real individual who was personally invited to join the group. All features of the app — including optional SMS notifications — are designed exclusively for these 12 members.
Members can optionally enable SMS notifications during onboarding or in their account settings. SMS is completely optional — the app works fully without it. Notifications are transactional only (event reminders, birthday alerts, verification codes). No marketing messages are ever sent.
